McDonald's LSH Toys Again

Well, we went to McDonald's last night, so we got a look at these things. On the way there, I asked the eight-year-old--just to be sure--whether she wanted the superhero toy. She did.

The twelve-year-old, being a big sister and therefore required to pick on the littler one every so often, started to ask her again if she didn't want the stuffed animal instead. The eight-year-old replied scornfully "I'm not a girly girl!"

(I'm not sure, by the way, what she means by "girly girl" here. She has a moderate collection of Bratz dolls that get some play--nowhere near the play that the superhero action figures get, but still, they get used. She loves glitter. Loves nail polish. Loves kitties more than anything in the world because they are "cuuuuuuute!" If that isn't "girly girl" stuff, I don't know what is.)

Once she had the figure in hand--she got Superman--what did she say? "Oh, he's so puny!"

Which he is. He's tiny, totally unjointed, and virtually unplayable.

Not quite so annoyed about the lack of girl Legionnaires now, as an unplayable Saturn Girl wouldn't be any prize either.
